Ashul Shah is a founding director of Eduka. He has been involved in the IT and web industry for over 21 years, having worked in the UK and Africa before moving to Australia.
Ashul studied at the University of Warwick in the UK, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems Engineering. He worked for IBM in the UK before moving to Kenya and taking up a role as Africa regional manager for Policy Master (Sirius Software). This job took him to Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, Ethiopia, Eriterea, Nigera, Uganda and Tanzania.
Ashul’s passion for the internet led him to change jobs and join the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as a Messaging and collaboration expert, charged with assisting African NGOs (non-governmental organisations) to use IT for sustainability. In this role he worked in East, Central and West Africa.In 1998 Ashul moved to Australia and used his messaging skills to work for what is now “Commander” as MS Exchange lead. After 2 years he felt the familiar tug of the web world; he wanted to build products as well as consult on how the web can work for business. To this end, Ashul founded his own practise with the goal of designing, developing and consulting in web stuff!
