Ruth Ellison, is a user experience (UX) practitioner, with a particular focus on information architecture, usability and design research. She is extremely passionate about creating accessible and useful user experiences. Ruth was formerly from Perth and is now based in Canberra.
Ruth has been working with the web for over ten years. She has worked in both the public and private sectors as a UX practitioner and educator, with a focus on a number of accessibility and user experience design projects across Australian Government. Ruth is currently a senior consultant at Stamford Interactive, a user experience consultancy. She takes a holistic and pragmatic approach to her design work, drawing upon her background of accessibility, usability and human-computer interaction to help clients create useful experiences for their products and services.
In her free time, Ruth can be found out and about taking photos, making music and getting involved in the local web community where she helps to organise the Canberra chapter of the Web Standards Group. Find her on twitter – @RuthEllison
