Adelaide Airport is expanding in numerous ways, including the terminal, with large-scale improvements in how it serves travellers in partnership with terminal retailers. The brief was to re-imagine how to inform travellers and customers of the changes and impacts to favourite shops in terms of their physical location, and also to educate and promote new entrants to the changing terminal landscape. The interface challenge was to integrate a fresh, user-focused design back into an existing website whilst maintaining common touch-points. This was coupled with a significant amount of new functionality, such as interactive mapping, filtering capabilities, section-based search and the claiming of special offers. The result has seen a significant 30%+ increase in metrics for user interactions, improved information accessibility and accuracy, and extremely positive feedback received from both customers and airport retail partners.
