Crime Stoppers WA

Crime Stoppers WA approached us to come up with a new site structure and design to clearly explain who they are and what they do. They wanted to clearly explain the kind of crimes that Crime Stoppers play a role in preventing and solving alongside the relevant authorities (eg. WA Police, National Police). This area will grow to contain prevention tips.
The responsive site needed to provide a clear pathway to the online report form and make it simple to report on any device.
As CSWA is run on a combination of private sponsorship and funding, there also needed to be plenty of places that supporters can be promoted across the site.
As exclaimed at our Launchcake by Mara from Tinderbox, “It takes a village to create a good website” and in the case of this project, it couldn’t be truer. A good site requires a lot of time, passion and energy to get right.
We competed the scope, reviewed and restructured the site map and then designed and developed the new site at Clever Starfish. With the noticeable shift in the visual look and feel for the site, we then needed to engage with a print and brand specialist to develop the offline materials to match. With a shift in the language and style, we also needed to bring in a content specialist to help reword and write content for the target market. Respectively, Tinderbox Creative and The Write Words joined the journey.
With such a focus on anonymity and the need to deliver security and peace-of-mind to people reporting, Chris Bauer, a security expert was also brought into the project. He worked with our programmers to ensure the build and launch of a dedicated application to securely manage the reports was seamlessly added and launched.
